My best guess is that Peter Fallin was the son of Redmond Fallin and Elizabeth Gwin, who were married 23 Feb 1793 inPittsylvania County
Redmond Fallin is listed in the 1830 census in Pittsylvania Co as Redmond Falden 000100001 0210001.He would have been born 1760-1770, and the only son in his household would have been born 1810-1815.
Redmond is listed in the 1840 census in Pittsylvania Co as Redman Falling 0000000001 00101001.He would have been born 1760-1770, and his wife 1780-1790.
His son (listed in the 1830 census) has apparantly moved out, though there is a record of a marriage between Peter Fallin and Gilley A.E. Edwards on 2 December 1841 in Pittsylvania Co.
Redmond apparantly died before 1850, though Elizabeth Fallin, age 75 from VA, is in the following household in the 1850 census in Pittsylvania Co:
William B. Hall 34 VA
-- Mary M. Hall 35 VA
-- Mary E. 2 VA
Elizabeth Fallin 75 VA
Peter Fallin is listed in the 1850 census in Pittsylvania County as:
Peter Fallin 39 VA
-- Elizabeth 23 VA
William Barber 17
Mary E. Fallin 6
--Lousinda R. 3
-- William D. 1
His age fits the son in Redmond's household in the 1840 census.Elizabeth must be Gilley A.E. Edwards.
They are listed in the 1860 census in Pittsylvania Co as:
Peter Fallen 49VA
Gila A. 34 VA
Mary E 15
Lusinda R 113
William D A 10
Gila A F6
Nancy J 4
There was an earlier Peter Fallin who married Rosemond Wright on 11 Mar 1799 in Pittslyvania County.I don't know what happened to him.
As you can see, there's no proof that Peter Fallin was the son of Redmond Fallin, but I think it's the most likely possibility, given the above records.
Best Regards, Leo
