Unfortunately, I don't have anything more on Dennis Eyes than what I included in the Charles (I) Fallin person sheet. He did sell land to Charles Fallin. There is some speculation that Charles' wife Jane might have been related to Dennis Eyes, but no one has ever been able to come up with a solid link.
As I mentioned in the sheet -- in the 1600s "Dennis" was almost exclusively an Irish given name. "Eyes" is a bit unusual, but could have been a spelling variation on more common names, e.g. Ayres.Dennis Conway is hooked as Irish by both his given name and surname.I've noticed the Conway family in Northumberland Co. both because the link to Ireland may have linked these families and because I have a friend named Conway whose family may have come from VA -- but he has zero interest in genealogy.
I have a list of names of members of the VANORTHU (Northumberland County) Rootsweb List and the names they are researching.Unfortunately, I don't see any Eyes or Conway researchers, but you should post your info and what you'd like to find on that message board; the board is sometimes silent for long periods, but it's mainly because most of the listers have acquired most of what they need. There are some very knowledgable and helpful people on the list.
My e-mail is email@example.com. If you e-mail me, I will send you the VANORTHU index.
Thanks for inquiring. We do have a common interest, because I would love to learn more about your Dennis Eyes.
