Hello Mr Hayes, You may be aware that some of us from the Redmond Fallin line of Pittsylvania County have been trying to tie us to either the Charles Fallin group of Northumberland Virginia or the Fallin family of Maryland (Dorchester County).
I highly suspect that the Pittsylvania county bunch are from the Charles Fallin bunch (now, although more than a decade ago I was sure they were from the Dorchester County, MD group).
Or .... maybe the 2 are somehow tied together in some way?
I have never been able to figure that out, but then again I have been tidying up my Fallin family line of the 1800's period for some time now, and haven't been paying much attention to the 1700's era.
My ancestor Redmond Fallin settled on the Dan River by 1745. There were 3 county name changes/boundary shifts or additions. Lunenburg and Brunswick and Pittsylvania.
My Branch was in Tennessee (Duck river) by 1830 and by 1850 or 1860 were on the White river bottoms in Arkansas. By 1945 in Missouri, by 1963 in California and by 1977 in Arizona ... where I now reside. (although I lived in New Mexico for most of this decade 1999 to 2009)
I joke with people saying it took our family 300 years to go from coast to coast.
Another interesting thing is that there may be an Island connection ... Barbados being one of the places and I forgot the other.
Well let me know what you think, please. Thank you sir, Lance T. Fallin
