Sorry I've been so long replying.I finally had to check back from work.
I agree, as more people check into the forum it's getting to be more helpful, and more fun.Through Bill Porter's material I think I have access to much of the Ruth Palmer stuff and more, so I'll watch for your questions and help when I can.
Thanks for the note about your uncle Jack. One of the abiding family mysteries is how often that name (which is really not very common as a given name) shows up in widely separated branches. There was an early "Thomas Jack Fallin" in the Georgia branch that may have started it all, but that would have required some real cross-family communication. My father was also a Jack and I think there are a couple of others now living in Texas and Oregon. There just has to be a story in there somewhere.
I've been spending most of my time trying to figure out just how the family got here in the first place (c. 1640).I've made some progress, and when you get back that far I may have some solid news.
That's great news about the cousins. My kids aren't married yet, so there's still hope out here.
