The 1860 Federal Census for LaPorte County, Indiana lists the following Fargher family: William Fargher, 29, Cabinet Maker, born in England Angeline Fargher, 31, born in NY Emma B. Fargher, 4, born in Indiana Sibbie R. Fargher, 2, born in Indiana
Living with them were: Woodburne Clark, age 28, Painter, born in England John Binsade(?), age 40, Upholster, born in Ireland Thomas Insill(?), age 24, Baker(?), born in England Irvine Meeker, age 15, laborer, born in Indiana
I'm especially interested in Irvine (or Irvin) Meeker and whether he was related to the Farghers or just an employee. Irvine's mother died in 1847, his father died in 1856, and his step-mother, Sarah Marshall Meeker, took the younger children and went back to live with her mother in Hancock County, Indiana.
