I'm having trouble tracing her line any further back Here is the information I have:
In 1840, she was a 21-year-old single mother with two sons, Charles T, who was, I believe, 5, and another who was about 2, I believe his name was James or John She listed her birthplace and her father's birthplace as Alabama. It's possible that Farley was her husband's name, but I can't back that up
By 1860 she had married a man from Georgia named R.A. Galloway, who was over 60. She and Galloway were living in the household of her son Charles T., who was unmarried. There were about three more children in the household, a 16-year-old Nancy Farley and one or two young Farley children. Amanda's other son was no longer living with them.
Sorry if this is way too specific, but I desperately want some help.
