Thank you.According to "family tradition", in the early 1800's a covered wagon group containing a widow with 3 children( a Mrs. Williams ), a friend ___ Farlow, and one other boy or young man settled on the Mississippi Coast in the Pascagoula MS vicinity. Later they moved north settling on the Strong River near old Westville in what later became Simpson Co., MS. The widow as reported to be Mrs.___Williams and the 3 children were George Washington b. 1820, Masouri ( Missouri), and William (Billy) b 1811 or 1817). Masouri married a Farlow (possibly James or George). Their children were George Washington Farlow b 1833 Westville MS and G. G. Farlow.Connected to this story is an origin for the Farlow portion of the family near Statesboro, North Carolina.
The recollection of your cousins of a Missouri Williams marrying a Farlow near Westville MS certainly fits with our family story. Unfortunately, we not been able to confirm any of this in various genealogical records. If anyone has data that can help, I would appreciate hearing from you.
