Wow !! I didn't know there was another Balthasar in Fryburg, PA.
My mother and I went to Fryburg many years ago (I think in the 1970s).The priest told us we could not look through the records because they were in fragile condition....but lucky me.....I was furnished with the name of a lady who was helping with the history of St Michaels for their 150th anniversary. This lady, Mrs Hartzle, sent me all the birth, death and marriage records for the names Fassenmyer and Weist.
IfI remember correctly, my mother and I were actually looking for the Weist family and we did not realize that we were descended from the Fassenmyer lineage until we got to Foxburg and found a biography of Balthsar Fassenmyer...but we both remembered seeing many Fassenmyer tombstones at St Michaels and a stained glass window in the church dedicated to the Fassenmyer family.
I also bought the St Michaels 150th anniversary book which contains family lineage of the then current members....there were many families who traced back to the Fassenmyer family. There were several spellings of the surname: Fassenmyer, Fasenmyer, Fascimire, Fascimyer, etc. etc. but basically they all were descended from Balthasar & Agatha Pirer Fassenmyer.
I haven't had my Fassenmyer file out in quite awhile but I believe I have some info on the Siegels. One of the Fassenmyer daughter married a Siegels. Let me know the names and dates and I'll take a look.
