My Great Grandmother was Teressa Faver b. April 7, 1845 in Heard co., GA, mar. March 1, 1863 in Heard Co., GA at the home of Sanders Walker Faver (her father) to Isaac Newton D. Stephens, b. Mar 23, 1841, Heard co., GA, she died Oct. 12, 1928 in Longview, TX, Gregg Co., bur. Judson Bapt. Ch. Cemetery, He died Dec. 28, 1924, and is also bur. Judson.
Her brother and sisters were; William Robert, Johnnie Jeptha, Isaac Eugene, Ida Leila(my grandmother), Minor Marlin, Viola Caroline, Myra Melissa and Minnie Teressa. I have all thsir birthdates, and most of the pictures of their gravestones.
Her Father was Sanders Walker Faver, b. 1808, d., 1881, mar. Caroline Amelia Davis, b, 1819, d. 1899. Their children were; John Thomas,mar, Amanda Melvina O. Stephens; Louisa Ann , mar. Joel W. T. Gibson,; William Allen, mar. Maria J.; Teressa(my great gran); Mary E, Harriett isabella, mar. a Davis; Lewsi, Isiah, and Sanders Faver.
Sanders Walker Faver I - his father was John Faver, Jr., born abt. 1788, d. 1818 in Wilkes Co., GA. I have him married to Mary Bolton Morgan. I do not know if she was a widow or what?
His father was John Faver Sr.,b. bet. 1748 - 1768.
In the DAR's book it states; John Faver, a Virginian from France, settled in Wilkes Co., GA, was wounded in the battle of Kettle Creek of the Revolutionary War, 1799. His name has been inscribed on a monument there in Kettle Creek, erected by the D.A.R.s and his first wife, Mary bolton Morgan. He married his second wife, Nov. 24, 1869 - Ellen Elizabeth Edmondson, after he had served the four years of the was between the States. He entered the army as a boy of sixteen an served to the bitter end.
