Hi All, My connection to Fearneyhough is Nancy who m. William Martin in Orange Co., Va. She is listed as Ann in one of the deeds of Thomas Fearneyhough he refers to his dght Ann Martin. She is Nancy Ann, as her statement, as NANCY,in a court document in Overton Co., TN. Dec 1827 "I married 15 yrs. ago this month, in Orange Co. to William Martin son of Brice Martin" which would be Dec. 1812. Another court document "Power of Attny. to John Martin of Va." and one in VA. naming her as guardian of ch. John and Joseph list her as ANN. William also m.in Henry Co., to Mary Fearney 1801. are perhaps these two wifes related. I have as her (Nancy Ann) father, Thomas Fearneyhough, she is not listed as a child to Agatha Lucas Fearneyhough, but on one site I visited a second wife Sarah. I have No proof that Thomas remarried, but a deed was cited that mentioned wife Sarah. Is there a possibility that William Fearneyhough who m. Sarah Morton in 1775, died and Thomas m. Sarah after Agatha died??Do not have a death date for Agatha except that she died prior to William Lucas, her father. four of the Fearneyhough ch. were listed as his heirs. Milton Fearneyhough was one of them.

Orange Co., VA listing from # 7844 Pt 16 Book___Page 309 “Indenture made 5 Dec. 1822 between Rachel Martin of County of Henry, State of VA, and Milton Farneyhough of said county & State.Rachel sold to Milton Farneyhough title to land in Orange for $150 containing 400 acres which was willed to Zachariah Lucas during his natural life and then to brother and sister of Zachariah Lucas by William Lucas, Sr. which adjoins Thos. Eddins, Ezekiel Lucas, Wm. White and John Dolin. A Milton Ferney m. Martha Edwards d. of Olive Martin and Ambrose Edwards. I think it is the same one.
In 1821 (6 Dec), Milton and Martha sold the land which he and his brother John bought from their parents, Thomas and Sarah. He sold his share of the land to his brother John and they moved to Henry County. This assignment was proved in Henry County and recorded also in Orange County. They gradually sold off other land imerests in Orange County through February 1823.(this is referring to Milton and wife Martha Fearneyhough, son of Thomas)
I find Thomas, or I think it may be,in the first census of the United States as Thomas Fearn, marriage to Agy Lucas 1776 as Thomas Fearney, and marriage of William Fearney to Sarah Morton 1775, and Anne Fearneaugh 1778 to Thomas Gilbert. All in Orange Co., VA.Hope this helps someone and maybe get some new information in return. Ruby
