Forgive me if my response is a little maladroit.I am struggling to respond effectively.Let me respond to James Hood in reverse chronological order.
James Hood on 23 Nov 1841 sold his 1/4 interest in 1/6 ownership of 100 acres of land originally acquired by Absolem Fears who willed 100 acres to 6 children of which one is Sarah Hood. The land was sold to Rice Gilliam. The deed is recorded in Prince Edward County Deed Book 25 page 92.Thus, James Hood is a son of William Hood and Sarah Fears Hood. The other three children are Sarah, Mariah and John Hood. All four of these children live in White County, Illinois at time of sale.
The only other James Hood I have is the father of Sally Hood who married Edmond Fears 10 Sep 1791 in Prince Edward County, Virginia. The only information I have on this James Hood is that he is enumerated on Prince Edward County Property Tax Lists 1797 and 1799.He may appear in more years; however, these are the only years I have found him.
With respect to the 1805 Georgia Land Lottery, I cannot speak to the Hood's found on that list. However, Edmond Fears on that list may have died in 1806.The Edmund who married Sally Hood is alive in 1841 in White County, Illinois because he sold his 1/6 ownership interest in 100 acres to Rice Gilliam on 11 Nov 1841.(Prince Edward County Deed Book 25 page 91).
With respect to the other list and petition, I am not familiar with these documents and thus will refrain from comment.
Unfortunately, I do not have any other information to pass along.I hope this helps.Good Luck in your search.
