I am researching the link between America and the U.S. for immigration of the two brothers that you mentioned. I have some information that they may have immigrated from Brandenburg, Germany (formerly East Germany near Berlin but what was across the East/West border) sometime in the 1700s. I have found and talked by telephone to a family whose name is Fieback.Interestingly, the spelling is unusual for German as rarely do you see a terminal "CK" and usually the spelling is as you suspected "CH". This, however, makes the tie more likely. The family operates a small hotel "Die Fieback Hotel Garni" in the State of Brandenburg. I have plans to travel there in the next couple of years and do some research but it would help if I had the earliest documented Feeback names in America. Both myself and my daughter speak German so this is helpful. By the way, Larry are you - LARRY G. FEEBACK 1004 BUFFALO ST TOLEDO OH 43604? I found the name in the ham radio database with callsign KE8YS. You are the only other Feeback in the database besides myself (W5DF) and my dsughter, Shauna Feeback (KD5SIV).
Dr. Daniel L. Feeback Houston, TX (formerly of Missouri)
My father is from Kentucky/Ohio and migrated to Missouri with his father Caleb Walton Feeback. My grandmother was Lena Mae Humphreys. I've only been able to trace with absolute certainty back about 5 generations. I have few interesting Feeback stories from the group that migrated to Missouri.
