SHREVEPORT, LA - Henry M. Felan, beloved husband and father, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Born April 13, 1924 in D'Hanis, TX and a native of San Antonio. He served his country in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific. A resident of Shreveport since 1949, he spent a lifetime career in management in the winery and liquor distribution industry and enjoyed his retirement as an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lupe Felan; brothers, George Felan and Tony Felan; sister, Rose Gonzales; children, Henry C. Felan, Gloria Jung, Linda Butler, Edward Felan, Catherine Richardson and Therese Turnage; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2009. A Requiem Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, LA. Rose-Neath Funeral Home
