I have reviewed my sources for the information in question. The first source is the book by Fay William Feller, "Descendents of Andreas Foller" dated 1990.This book references the wedding license date of 4 December 1856 and birth and death years apparently taken from the gravestone in Powell Cem'y: Christian Brenner (1823-1906 Maria, his wife (1836-1916) I have a photo of this gravestone, which I rechecked. The stone is in excellent condition and the dates are clear.
Unfortunately, the second source that I used is not immediately available for re-examination.This is "Hancock County Ancestral Charts" dated 1984 & 1989.My best recollection is that this was a series of family lineages compiled by members of the Hancock County Genealogical Society.I saw it as pamphlets in the Hancock County Library and I am sure that there are very few copies around. From this, I got the birthplace of Jagsthausen, Germany, and the more complete birth and death dates. Christian Frederick Brenner(10 Dec 1823-13Feb 1906) Maria Fellers (20 Aug 1835-12 Aug 1916) as well as information on one son: John Brenner (16 Dec 1860-7 Mar 1937) spouse Margaret Villa Heistand (25 Aug 1875- 12 Nov 1968)
I took the opportunity to check the 1860 census for Eagle Twp, Hancock County, OH, page 35: 239/236 Christian Brenner age 37born:Germany Maria Brenner age 26 born OH Susan age 2 born OH John age 6/12 born OH
All these sources are subject to error, but they seem pretty consistent.
If you will give me your mailing address, I will send you my file on John Peter Feller (1784-1856) as well as a reprint of the gravestone photo.I am going back to Findlay in a month and will have 3-4 days to do some research. My plate is pretty full, so I can't guarantee time for your particular problem although I will put it on my list.
