Reunion? Feltner Book?
Hi All,
I wanted to know if there was going to be a Feltner Reunion anytime this year and and also if Conrad Feltner's book was ever reprinted. I am doing research on my family history and would treasure any tidbits of information or old pictures of ancesters out there. I have found some very interesting articles while doing my research. My family line is as follows:
Father: Eldon Everett Feltnor (b. Tulsa OK)
Grandfather: Oscar Quitman Feltnor (d. Tulsa, Ok)
GGrandfather: William Alexander Feltnor (d. Morris, Ok)
GGrandfather: Lewis A. Felknor (b. Jefferson City, Tn)
GGGrandfather: Philip Felknor (b. Shenandoah, Va)
GGGGrandfather: Johann Heinrich Volcknor(AKA Henry Feltnor)
(b. Germany migrated to Shenandoah, Va)
Henry had a brother Adam that moved from Shenandoah to Illinois and the spelling of the name changed from Volckner to Feltn(e)r. Henry's last name changed to Feltn(o)r.
I was fortunate enough to run across some church records for The Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Strasburg, Va. posted on the internet that show both Henry and Adam listed several time in the records.
I also ran across an article on a Cockrill/Hargis Feud that had an interesting story about a Moses Feltner that was hired to kill his friend J. B Marcum for $35 and a new shotgun. The story is very interesting, but I am not sure who Moses was other than that the feud took place in Breathitt County, Kentucky abt. 1902. Would anyone have any idea who this Moses Feltnor is?
Thanks Lorri Feltnor Gaither
