Dear Mary, I am in close touch with a man in Canada who has what must be the world`s database on Fennas.Unfortunately,he is ill at the moment,so not able to deal with family history. If you can access Cheshire Record Office(I use the google.com search engine)they have free BMD`s online and Cheshire Family History Society will also respond to queries. Most of the records online date after 1837,the date of compulsory registration. If you would like to write to me dfenna@AOL.com I will check with a few friends who can look at the Chester records for you,and perhaps speed up your search.Pity you do not know the parish where Sarah was born, but if the marriage licence has other parishes noted that could lead back to some of my earlier records. Most of the Fennas in Cheshire are related across the centuries, and their history is fascinating. I live in the South West of England now but was born in the North. Yes lots of parishes, but boundaries changed over the centuries and many parishes were incorporated.I have old maps of the boundaries, very useful. Look forward to hearing from you.
