Her great-great grandfather was Timothy FENNELLY.I don't know much about him except that all of her FENNELLY's are from Cuffesgrange in Kilkenny or Kilkenny itself.
Timothy FENNELLY was probably born between 1840 and 1855.Can't tell.
I only arrive at those dates because I know of his son, Michael FENNELLY (1875-Mar 31, 1913).
Michael FENNELLY was a stone mason. He built the Church in Cuffesgrange and most of the houses in the village of Cuffesgrange. He owned a lot of house property in Cuffesgrange and was nick named the "landlord".He built the RIC in Cuffes grange. He also built the Coal House which was lived in by a family called REILLY.The garage of his son Nicholas was once a residence. He may have come from Balingarry, County Tipperary. However, according to an email I received from his great-grandson, he met an old man who told him that he knew his great-grandfather (Michael). His belief, from what the man told him is that Michael FENNELLY originated in the vicinity of Graigue Cross/ Killoloe Church between Ballyline Cross and Kilmanagh.
Michael FENNELLY married Margaret DALTON on Aug 24, 1891.
They had 5 children, Nicholas, Timothy Joseph, Thomas, Alice, and Bridie.
I am wondering if perhaps your Martha FENNELLY was a sister of my Michael FENNELLY.You say your Martha was married in 1906, therefore she could have been been born approximately 25 years earlier (1880), making her a contemporary of my Michael.
Remember however, I have no knowledge of any Martha during that time nor do I see that name appearing down my FENNELLY tree.
