Adoption of Harold Thomas Ferdig

HT Ferdig is still living, but disconnected (mostly) from the family. He was adopted into the Nelson family in Iowa around 1948, but reverted back to his original name for unknown reasons that seemed to stir the family. I believe the family was settled in and around the Anthen area.

I am looking for info on any possible leads. This may not be a legal adoption. There is more info, but for privacy's sake I will not post it here.

HT Ferdig/Nelson marries once that I am sure of and has a son in the 1980s in TX.
