I'm looking into my FERNEYHOUGH ancestors and saw this. Are you still looking for information?
If so, have you come across this:
15 July 1822 Charles FERNYHOUGH married Jemima HILL at St Michael's, Stone
William baptised 28 Oct 1827 at St Mary's, Stafford to Charles and Jemima John baptised 7 Mar 1830 at St Mary's, Stafford to Charles and Jemima Jemima born 11 Jan 1835 and baptised 17 Sep 1837 at St Thomas, Birmingham George born 26 Aug 1837 and baptised 17 Sep 1837 at St Thomas, Birmingham
I am wondering if they fit into my tree somewhere, I cannot find a connection (yet).Mine are from the Stafford area:
I think my ggg grandfather, Thomas FERNEYHOUGH buried 17 Dec 1853 aged 85 Abode Foregate Street, Stafford is the Thomas baptised 26 Mar 1769 to John and Jane (nee FLETCHER) who married 18 Oct 1753 at St Michael's, Stone.
John FERNEYHOUGH, baptised 8 April 1736, at Stone, being a son of the Reverend Adam FERNEYHOUGH with his second wife, Jane (nee WHITEHURST).
Adam FERNIHOUGH baptised 13 Oct 1698 at All Saints, Dilhorne to Johannis FERNIHOUGH.
The burial entry for Stone and Fulford shows The Revd Mr ffirnyho of ffulford was buried at Caverswall Nov 10 (1775).The burial entry for St Peter's, Caverswall 9 Nov 1775 shows Adam FERNYHOUGH Clerk Curate of Fulford.
If any of this looks familiar, please get in touch and I'll gladly exchange information.
