Seems funny writing to another Graham Fidler, even if you can't spell it right
I'm doing a one-name study into all the F(V)ID(D)LERS in the UK up to 1881. So if you can find/know of the name and age of some of your Fiddler ancestors alive them, I should be able to help.
Liverpool is a very interesting area for the surname, as there are about equal amounts of Fidlers, Fiddlers and Vidlers. The greatest concentration of the double-d spelling in centred around Walsall/Birmingham.
I live near Knutsford in Cheshire, but my Fidlers are from London way back.
