Our genealogy group often finds photos, documents, and sometimes Bibles for sale at auctions or thrift stores. We try to return these treasures to the descendants or historical groups in the area of origin.
What we have found is a Bible belonging to the Paul Fieselman family. The Bible is in German so I am unsure of the exact age but there is a name written in the front, J.H. Fieselman, with Oct 23, 1929 written on the inside front cover. I have no way of knowing if that is the date of the Bible or if that is when the Bible was passed to someone else.
Names in the Bible are Paul G. Fieselman b. 04 Dec 1878 Marie "" b. 05 Jul 1881 Benjamin "" A. b. 31 Aug 1882 Theophil "" b. 24 Oct 18874 Elizabeth "" b. 01 Oct 1888 Lydia "" b. 05 Jan 1886 Sam J. "" b. 30 Jul 1891 John M. "" b. 23 Sep 1896 Huldah M. "" b. 15 Jul 1900
Then on the next page is a Dora Sutter Fieselman (nee Larryenberg??) that says she died Feb 13, 1936 at 9:45 a.m. as well as dozens of other names. Looks like the Bible was possibly passed down through the Hickman family.
If this is the correct family and you are intersted in the Bible, please contact me.The price paid was $75.49 from the Land of Cotton Antique Mall in Dothan, AL.
