Figg of Gloucester County, Va

Gloucester County

I would like to contact someone who is familiar with the Figg family of Gloucester County, Va, or any of the adjoining counties.

I have a copy of a copy of the Gloucester County Surveyor’s Book A 1733-181065-921.

I can’t make out half of the writing but I think the gist of it is saying that:

a John Figg died intestate in 1795 and the corresponding diagram shows how his land was divided up among his heirs.

It looks like :

Parcel no 1 (90 acres) went to Thomas Oliver,

Parcel no 2 (110 acres) went to John Figg & Thomas Wiatt (I wonder why this lot was shared between the two ?),

Parcel no 3 (76 acres) went to the children of Jonathan Lyell,

Parcel no 4 (140 acres) went to John Johnson.

I would like to know the connection between the Figgs and the Wiatts.Anyone know ?

I also searching for a Thomas Figg or a James Figg who would have been born
around 1700.

Thanks,

William
