How are you related to the FINGER family? I'm from NC and related through the Catawba Co, NC bunch via my grandmother who was Eva Finger. If you are related we share the same common ancestor of both Jacob & Peter Finger as does George Alexander Finger.

George Alexander Finger was born 29 May 1870 in Meramec TS, St Louis Co., Mo and died 10 June 1928in Pacific, Franklin Co., Mo. He is buried in the local Pacific Cem. George married Josephine A. Dace 23 Oct 1896 in Pacific, Franklin Co., Mo. Josephine was born Feb 1879 in Mo and died in 1934 in Pacific, Franklin Co, Mo. She is also buried in the local Pacific Cem. Looking at the Census records it does not appear that George & Josephine had any children in each census, although, some may have been born but died young.
George Alexander Finger Lineage is as follows: Father - Joseph Finger (1838-1875) married Dorcas Unknown (1844-after 1870). Both living in Meramec TS,St Luois Co, Mo in 1870.Joseph was born Blount Co, TN.
Grandfather - Henry Finger (1815-1885) married Catherine 'Kate' Hutsell (1816-1865) on 16 Sept 1833 in Blount Co, Tn. Both died in Meramec TS, St Louis Co., Mo. Henry was born inLincoln Co., NC. Catherine was born in Shenandoah Co, Va. du of John Hutsell & Mary Ann Keller. Henry married a second time @ 1866 to Elizabeth Unknown (1825-1880)
Gr Gdfather - Henry Finger (1781-1860) married Maria Magdalena "Molly" Hausser (18 Dec 1776-1840) on 2 Apr 1805 in Lincoln Co., NC. Henry was born in Lincoln co,NC and died Shook's Gap, Knox Co., Tn. Molly was born in Codorus TS, York Co, Pa and died in Shook's Gap, Knox Co., Tn and buried at Zion Luth Ch, Knox Co., Tn. Henry married second time to Margaret "Peggy' Shooks on 5 Jun 1840 in Knox Co., Tn.
2nd gr gdfather - Jacob Finger (1754-Dec 1830) married Maria Christina Schramm (Dec 1754-Dec 1830) @ 1778 Tryon (Lincoln in 1779) Co, NC. Both Henry and Christina were born in York Co, Pa.
3rd gr gdfather - Peter Finger (1730-1792) married Catherine Barbara Reinhardt (1734-btwn 1800/1810). Peter was born in Germany and immigrated to America Sept 1749 on the ship St Andrew into the port of Philadelphia. He remained in York Co, Pa until shortly before the Revolutionary War when he migrated to Tryon Co, NC later known as Lincoln Co in 1779. He and his wife both died in Lincoln CO, NC. Peter is buried on his original homestead and his gravesite is marked with a Huge Memorial Stone and plate which was placed there in 1981 by the Finger Family Reunion. The family meets every June the Sunday before Fathers Day at the St Matthews Luth Ch, Maiden NC.
