Hi, Michael! Rev. Fink is kin to my husband, but we don't know exactly how he ties into the family. He is from the Adams County area in PA. He conducted the funeral for my husband's grandmother and the newspaper says that he was her cousin. Apparently, she used to talk about him a lot. The family is very Catholic and he was their pride and joy. Ruellan's father is Basil Fink and his mother is Ella Noel. They are in the 1880 online census. I believe that Basil's father was Pius, which is probably also Ruellan's middle name.
My husband's grandmother is Margaret Faller Martin and she died in the late 1950's. I have not been able to find exactly how Rev. Fink is related to her. I've found info on the Fallers. And her mother was an Orndorf. They all lived back and forth across the PA and MD lines in the Adams County, PA/Emmitsburg/Thurmont, MD region.
I'm very interested that your middle name is Ruellan. I sounds French, but this family is primarily German. I've searched for several years for the "French Connection" but have not yet found it. I have not seen your name either, so I am very interested in your family. Any connections with the Adams/Emmitsburg area?
