Hello Back Cousin,
Thank you very much for replying so promptly.I am thrilled to know that you have photos of Mary and Agnes.I will eagerly await getting copies from you.
I am from the line of Thomas Lincoln Ferguson, Mary Fermer Finlay's son.Thomas' daughter, Flossie Dell Ferguson Smith was my grandmother.Thomas' daughter, Esther Ferguson Jones is the one I have to thank for the Ferguson family history that I have. She was very good about writing down all that she knew of her parents and grandparents in a little book that she passed on to me.
When Alexander and Mary moved to Jasper County, MO, they bought 320 acres of land and built a two story rock house on the farm. That rock house (although in a very sad state) is still standing. The land is now owned by a grandson of Minnie Mary Ferguson Rudy.
You may know all this but --- just in case.
Aunt Esther's notes also say that Agnes Blythe Finlay was asked to name a school (Rose Bank School) that was built in the area (Jasper County) in 1878.
I hope to hear from you again with any information that you would pass along.I have a lot of questions.
Thanks,Judy
