Finucane's in County Clare in 1888

By edward O'Shaughnessy February 29, 2012 at 10:53:27

In the summer of 1888 my great grandfather went to County Clare looking for his ancestors and living relatives. My great grandfather was 40 years old at the time. His father was John O'Shaughnessy and his mother Ellen Finucane, both of County Clare.Ellen emigrated to Canada with her sons.We don't know if John did also, or if he died in Clare. My great grandfather may have linked up with family, because he came back with the belief that family lived in Coolmeen township, Kilfiddane parish.Any descendant know about Finucanes living in Clare in 1888?
