DAMARISCOTTA -- Janet F. Marcy, 90, died late in the afternoon of June 4, 2005, at Cove Edge, Damariscotta.
The daughter of Leroy and Hazel (Merrill) Fiske, she was born on March 31, 1915, in Rumford.
Mrs. Marcy graduated from Bangor High School and, as a young woman, worked for the state for many years.
She married Roy Marcy in 1943 and, for seven years, lived throughout New England and New York state. The family came back to Maine in the 1950s, living for 20 years in Readfield and for the next 20 years in the Pemaquid region.
Her husband, Roy, predeceased her in 2003.
She leaves two daughters, Jane M. Fuller of Woolwich and Judith M. Vozzella of Eliot. She also leaves her sister, Sally Hamilton of Pemaquid; brothers John Fiske of Windham and Richmond Fiske of Standish; four grandchildren, Sarah Fuller Griffee, Beth Fuller, Marcy Vozzella and Matthew Vozzella; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and -nephews, with whom she was very close.
Friends and family are invited to a graveside service 1 p.m. Sunday at Harrington Cemetery, Pemaquid, with Rick Newell officiating. She will be laid to rest, with her husband, following.
If desired, the family asks that donations be sent to the Bristol Area Library, Bristol, in memory of Mrs. Marcy.
