I have gathered quite a lot of information regarding Fisken. I understand that the name is Scandinavian 'fisken' means I think 'fisker'. The name first appeared in Scotland in the 16thC in Perthshire. I have basically two family trees that I am trying to connect. They start with Patrick Fisken and Peter Fisken. Both of these trees have the village of Muthill in Perthshire quite prominent. I also have details of Thomas Fisken who invented the steam plough and he was schooled at Muthill. Clearly all this information is related but I am still trying to make the connection. If you want copies of the trees I have I shall be pleased to supply them in rtf format. If you recognise any of the information I shall be pleased to hear urther from you. This goes for anyone else posting to this site. I look forward to hearing from you.
