Sorry to be more than a year late in replying. But if anyone is still interested.
There are different books of the Snowflake Flakes.
The one that you Probably want is "the Descendants of William Jordan Flake" It has been out of print for a very long time. I got one of the last available ones several years ago. It is what the title says.
I would love to see it put into a form that could be put into genealogy software, but am not in a position to even begin to think about doing it. It somes down to the level of many people that are still alive. Including myself, wife and children. However it is out of date by about 20 years. I would love to see it brought up to date, but that would be a unimaginably huge project.
This book does not have addresses and telephone numbers, just vital statistics like genealogy books have. A great way to re-print it would be on a CD in GEDCOM format.
The next most well know book is "William Jordan Flake - Pioneer, Colonizer"(I am doing these titles ot of memory so may be somewhat inacurate).
This is the story of his life told by his son Osmer D. Flake. This was been out of print for many years. It was reprinted several years ago, privately. The work was done at BYU Press, my cousin Joel Flake, still at the press, knows all about the production. I do not know who has those copies and if there are any left.
Then there are several other books about the lives of other descendants of this WJ Flake. I have some, I am sure that there are many that I have never heard of.
There are also many life stories gathered and made availalble in very limited numbers. There is a life story of One of W. J. Flake's wives, Lucy Hanna White, that exists in quite a few copies. I understand that this and probably several other important Flake histories exist in the Special Collections part of teh BYU Library. At one time that was under the direction of Chad Flake, so I am sure he got what he could on this family.
