I have no relation to the family or names below, but in July 2000 I found a listing of "rescued" bibles under the website - http://users.erinet.com/31363/family.htmhttp://users.erinet.com/31363/family.htm -
In July 2001 I tried to access this site again, but received an Error message. You might want to try contacting someone by accessing - http://users.erinet.com/http://users.erinet.com/ - to see how to gain access to the existing list of bibles available (if they are still handling these items).
If they are not, ask them if they know how to contact other sites. NOTE: Not sure, but perhaps this website no longer exists, or has been taken over by E-BAY.COM or some other commercial site. Some other bibles they were mentioning on this site were evidently selling for $100 or more.
In any case, the following item was included in the long list of family surnames found inside 'rescued' bibles: ___________________________________________
FLAMM Family Holy Bible; German Catholic Prayer Book; 835 pp; printed 1885 by Benziger & Co.;
family data for Paul Flamm b. 22 Dec 1870 and Maria Regenslarger b. 18 May 1875.
bible found in Newport, KY 30 Oct 1995. ____________________________________________
No info in the posting about WHERE Paul or Maria were born (I suspect Germany) or WHEN they came to USA (obviously by 1900). Is there a 639 Delhi Avenue in Cincinatti ?? Do we know how the bible might have got to Newport, KY ?
This bible did not appear to be sold as of July 2000. I know nothing more about it, since I cannot seem to access the original site mentioned above.
Hope this information is of some use to someone posting on this forum.
