Flanigan or Flanagan Family of Galway, IRELAND

Hi Heather:
I research the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,800,000 surviving rcds for abt 70% of Irish counties. Rcds are increasingly sparse B4 1840, rare B4 1800. Cos. Donegal and Derry were recently added to the database.
Note 1 - Without a KNOWN county, the chance of an ancestor's rcds NOT being in this database is AT LEAST 30%.
Note 2 - Only 1/2 of Co. Cork's rcds are in this database.
Note 3 - The RC church kept control over most parish rcds from Tipperary (north). These are ONLY available thru the Tipperary Family History Research center at a substantial fee (regardless of outcome).
For Hon(or) Flanagan B 1876 +/- 2 yrs, somewhere in Ireland, with a father forenamed Pat(rick), I found 5 rcds: 1874 Galway, 2-1875 Galway, 1875 Dublin, and 1877 Galway.
For Marg(aret) Flanagan B 1879, ditto, I found 8 rcds: 1878 Galway, 1879 Galway, 1879 Mayo, 1879 Fermanagh, 2-1880 Derry, 1881 Westmeath, and 1881 Down.
For Pat(rick) Flanagan M 1871 +/- 4 yrs, somewhere in Ireland, I found 39 rcds - too many to list here. However, 8 were in Galway: 2-1867, 2-1868, 1869, 1870, and 2-1871.
For Mary Reynolds M ditto, I found 69 rcds - again too many. However 2 were in 1872 Galway. This is a NO match for the records for Patrick.
Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database. Register, opt to be notified as rcds are added and browse. Pls post your search results to my genforum msg.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
