Henry Bolton Flautt, b. 24 NOV 1865 at Sumner, Tallahatchie County MS, d. 9 FEB 1917, buried Woodlawn Cemetery, Sumner. On 30 SEP 1891 he m. Emma Robertson, d. of Thomas J. Robertson and Mahulda C. Hensley. Henry and Emma lived at the community of Flautt, Tallahatchie County MS, 4 miles SW of Webb MS. Land of Wade and McHenry Lumber Co. and Y&MV Railroad spur was bought by Judge H. B. Flautt about 1915. Area became known as Flautt. Rail line was discontinued in 1928 and Flautt became extinct. Henry and Emma had 6 children. (1) James Robert "Bob", b. 3 JUL 1893, lived at Swan Lake and Greenwood MS. I believe that he had 6 sons and 1 daughter. (2) William Frierson "Bill", b. 11 AUG 1898, m. 22 OCT 1933 to Mary Lee Windham, They lived at Tutwiler MS and owned Flautt Insurance Agency. I believe that they had 5 sons and d. Emma, who m. Ed Crysler, newspaper owner and editor at Port Gibson MS. (3) Henry Bolton "Boog", b. 15 AUG 1900 at Covington LA. Was a Catholic Priest, d. 30 MAY 1976, buried at Woodlawn with parents. (4) Thomas Joseph, b. 27 OCT 1901, m. 27 OCT 1930 to Alline Peake Mitchener. They lived at Swan Lake MS and I believe had 9 sons and 1 daughter. (5) Mary Emma, b. 20 SEP 1905, m. 9 JAN 1935 to Samuel Floyd Futhey. They lived at Tutwiler MS and worked in the Flautt Insurance Agency and later moved to Las Vegas NV. (6) John Abernathy, b. 23 JUN 1907, m. 19 MAY 1936 to Mary Lucille Fedric. They adopted a son and a daughter, Jimmy and Jeanne. The family lived at Glendora, near Rosedale and in Shelby MS.
