One Hazel J. Hayes [hhayes@Intellisys.net]reports on the angelfire pages under Southall Family in VA. that "James Southall and Julia Flippin went to TN around Maury Co...James enlisted for 6 mo in Anderew Jackson's army [in the "2 Regiment ( :-)e"s] and went to New Orleans in the War of 1812.He died there on 16 Februrary 1815 after the battle."She says that there is a will recorded in Cumberland Co., VA by one Hannah Flippin Southall who left a sum of money "to the orphans of James Southall"From this and likely other sources she surmises that Hannah Flippin, this Hannah Flippin Southall, was the wife of John Southall IV.I have seen elsewhere that his wife's first name was Hannah.
Can others verify or comment of this info?
Secondly, Hazel J. Hayes also list the children of James Southall and Julia (Judith) Flippin as
John Mac Southall b. ca. 1806 William Albert Southall b. 1808 Martha Frances Southall b. ca. 1810 Elizabeth T. Southall b. 1812 Susan S. Southall b. 14 August 1814
She then lists some of the husbands and wives of these children.
