In the name of God Amen I Alonzo Florey a resident of Moultrie County and State of Illinois being of sound mind But realizing the uncertainty of life and being desirous of disposing of all my earthly affairs while in life do make publish and declare this to be my last will and Testament hereby revoking any and all other wills by me heretofore made.
1stIt is my desire that at my Death all my funeral expenses and all my just debts if any be fully paid out of monies I may have on hand at my death
2ndI hereby give bequeath and devise to my wife Mary Florey first the Sum of two Hundred and Twenty five ($225.00) in cash out of monies I may have on hand at my death.I further give Bequeath and devise to her for her own use one Black mare of the age of four,4, years, also one red spotted cow aged 8 years Horns cut off _____________, also three Head of Hogs, one hundred and fifty bushel of corn, also one and one half Tons of hay, also all the poultry owned by us, also all ousr house hold goods of every description except the foloowing articles which I hereafter otherwise dispose of, to wit:One Safe, One Pair of Pillows, my wearing apparel, one watch and my family Bible.I also give bequeath and devise to her Mary A. Florey my wife, Twenty three and one third acres off of the west side of my home place of 70 acres .Being one third of said farm to have and to hold the same ofr her own use and Benefit during her natural life.It is my will and desire that at her death the same lands be sold and the proceeds of said land be Equally divided my children equally share and share alike To Wit - Laura Smith, Della Harned, Ida Eishelman, Ella Mitchell, Susie Peck, Minnie Hudson, Mary Holley, Nancy E. Morris and Goldson Florey.Each one ninth part.
3rdI hereby give bequeath and devise to my son Goldson A. Florey Sixty acres of land being in Section One,1. in Township thirteen north range four east of the 3rd Pris. in Sullivan Township, Moultrie County, State of Illinois as described by deeds on record to have and to hold the same is _____ simple for ______.I also give will and bequeath to hime my watch, one pair pillows, my family Bible, my wearing apparel, One County book also all my Carpenter Tools and Bench, One Chestnut Sorrel Horse and one Bay Mare with white feet.I also in addition to the above give Bequeath and devise to him said Goldson Florey one childs share, 1/9th, of all monies left after paying the Legassis Expenses to above named.Also one childs share, 1/9th, of the proceeds of Sale of all personal property not herein disposed of and Lastly that at the death of my wife, Mary A. Florey, and the Sale of lands herein given her for her use he shall receive his own share, 1/9th, of said processes after.
It is my desite that at my death the East Two Thirds of my home farm of 70 acres being 462/3 acres be sold as well as all my Personal Property not herein disposed of be sold by my Executor to the best advantage to all my children and that the proceeds of such sale together with all debts due me collected and the residue of all monies I may have at _______ at my death be equally divided share and share alike between my nine children or their Heirs to wit.Laura Smith, Della Harned, Ida C. Eshelman, Ella Mitchell, Susie Peck, Minnie Hudson, Mary Jolley, Nancy E. Morris and Goldson Florey.
I hereby appoint Daniel Eshelman my Executor to see that this my Last Will and testamet be fully carried out according to all the Bequests therein in Testimony Hereof I here unto set my hand and seal this 13th day of February 1898.
I Alonzo Florey a resident of the town of Marrowbone in county of Moultrie and State of Illinois a farmer by accupation do make this my codicile hereby confirming my last will made on the 13th day of February 1898.So far as this codicil is consistant therewith and do herby wish to add some further bequests made to my wife Mary A. Florey in addition to what I have bequeathedto her I desire that she shall have one Hundred bbs of Bacon on hand for her own use___________and ______ meat as neat equal as posible.Also about Ten Bushel wheat on hand for bread.In witness hereof I signed sealed and published as my codivil to my Will,Dated this 21st day of April 1898.
