I bought this bible and it is definately not our Henderson Family bible.
Some of the notations are as follows: Given to Stella by her mother Henderson 1873.
There is a cut out from newspaper regards to total US Catholic population.
There is a birth announcement enclosed that reads as follows: Mr & Mrs. H.L. Henderson announce the birth of their son, Henry Lee, Jr Born the Fourth day of August 1918.
There is a obituary cut out from newspaper of a Della Strong born 1859 and died in 1872. A funeral insert of: Mr & Mrs. R. Dawson's little daughter "Margaretta" (date unknown and not listed.) Newspaper insert that reads: To my Bereaved Brother and Sisters, Mr & Mrs Henry Judson in memory of Hettie.
There is a worn note sheet of the following names and dates of births: Died (who?) October 23rd, 1869... Alexander Henderson born 9-16-1812, Sally Ann Paree? (not legible) 12-24-1817, married October 1834. Elizabeth Henderson b July 14, 1835, Roxanne Henderson born Oct 25, 183? and died on Feb 4, 1904, Sabrina Almeeila? Henderson born April 30, 1848, Henriette Henderson born June 8, 1845 and died June 14, 1899, Mary R. Henderson Born April 20, 1848 and Armilla Henderson born July 6, 1850.
Also, there is a post card dated April 5, 1924 from Amarillo, Texas to a Ms. Estell S. Henderson Bay Shore, Tampa Florida. She "Estelle" also had a certificate of the Kings Household of Bible Readers issued 1897.
Another obit insert of Harrie S. Son of C.A & S. Henderson passed May 10th (year unknown) aged 8 months and 15 days.
