I purchased in Healdsburg, CA the subject photo of two men riding a horse-drawn wagon holding bales of hops. It is identified on the front of the mount:

He is listed in the 1870 and 1880 Census data for Looking Glass Precinct, Douglas Co., OR; the 1900 Census data for Oakland (resided at 1730 8th Street), Alameda Co., CA; the 1910 Census data for Mendocino Township (resided on Guerneville Road), Sonoma Co., CA; and the 1920 and 1930 Census data for Russian River Township, Sonoma Co., CA.He is included in the California Voter Register for 1892 (railroad employee residing at 1773 Taylor, Oakland), the Santa Rosa City Directory for 1913 (hop grower residing at Hotel Sotoyome), the Santa Rosa City Directory for 1915 (partner in Flournoy & Reeves Auto Freight Co. residing at Hotel Sotoyome), and the Santa Rosa City Directory for 1949 (Rt. 1, Box 408. HGe is also captured in the "California, Death Index, 1940-1997."
According to information posted on the Find A Grave website, Alexander Hoy "Alex" Flournoy, born 7 Dec 1867 in Douglas Co., OR, died 14 Jan 1956 in Sonoma Co., CA, was the adopted son of Rowland Flournoy (1834-1880) and Mary Elizabeth Gage (1849-1934).Alexander raised three children that he adopted: Emma Ellen Flournoy, born 5 Oct 1901; Carl R. Flournoy, born 31 Jan 1916; and Alexine A. Flournoy, born 7 Mar 1919.Alexander was first married to Pearl I. Gordon (1877-). After their divorce, he married Ethel Ray Blazer (1888-1956) and adopted Ethel's brother's two children when the brother died in 1919.
