I have some information received from the Fluker family in Macon, GA.
Research showed first Fluker in America (in our family) was Captain David Fluker, Virginia, born about 1661.His son is also David Fluker of Wiccomico, Northumberland, Va born 1697.His son, Owen Fluker, born in 1732.His son, Isaac,born in Georgia in 1771.His son, William Thomas Fluker, Sr. born in Taliferro County, in 1803.His son William Thomas Fluker, Jr. born in 1845, Taliferro County and moved to Washington, GA about 1870's.
William Thomas Fluker, Jr. married Emily reid Murden in January 1869 and had 14 children of which (4) where boys. The boys were: William Henry Fluker - Sons William Henry Fluker and Robert Fluker Richard Murden Fluker - Sons James D. Fluker (had son James D. Fluker, Jr.) Thomas Randall Fluker, Sr. - Son Thomas Randall, Jr. (had son Thomas R. Fluker III) Edward H. Fluker - Sons Edward H. Fluker, Jr and David Thornton Fluker, Sr. (sons David T., Edward H. and Steven Mark Fluker.
From what I know from my father, the family migrated from Georgia to Louisiana (Fluker Louisiana is north of New Orleans) to Houston, up to Dallas and to Kansas City, Missouri.My father was James Sylvanus Fluker who had a brother named John Robert Fluker.My dad had three sons: James Fluker, Robert Michael Fluker and myself Jacques L. Fluker.My uncle John Robert Fluker has two sons:James Fluker and John Fluker.The family is not creative when thinking up names except we like to stick with the letter "J". Characteristics of the males of the family is large German features, i.e., ears, hands, fingers.Height is 6' to 6'1" on average, with weight from 220 lbs to 280 lbs.. Good atheletes and good in math. That is all I know.
