I am in possession of an obituary clipped from a newspaper, date unknown, which I will add here in case this is your Fluker family and for someone else to find in case it is not:
"The death occurred on Thursday last of Mrs. William Fluker, who had been in failing health for several months past.
Mrs. Fluker, whose maiden name was Jane Stewart, was the daughter of William Stewart and was born in the parish of Kirkmaiden, Wigtown, Scotland, on March 3, 1855.Coming to Canada in early life, she was married in 1876, by the Rev. A. Hartley of Dungannon, to her now bereaved husband.They took up housekeeping at Auburn, where they continued to reside for several years.It is about 19 years since they came to Clinton.She is survived by a family of five daughters and one son: W. J. Fluker of Chicago, Mrs. E. McLaughlin, Vancouver; Mrs. R. J. Cameron, Rocanville, Sask; Mrs. Geo. Taylor and Mrs. W. C. Farquhar of Clinton and Miss May of Paris (Ontario). Three sisters also survive: Mrs. A. Anderson, Deloraine, Man.; Mrs. John Rogers, London; and Mrs. P. Granton, Paris.
The funeral took place from the family residence, William Street, on Saturday afternoon.The service was conducted by the Rev. S. Anderson and the pall bearers wre: R. Stalker, A. Robinson, Geo. Garquhar, H.W. Gould, J. Taylor and W. Mutch.
Amost those from a distance who were here for the funeral were: Mr. W. Granton and Misses Mary and Ella Granton of Paris."
I am related through her sister, Janet, wife of Patrick Granton, who was my great-grandmother.
