This might help some.
Two opinions running in the family about origins.
The least favored is the family was originally from the Alsace-Lorraine area of France but was LaFluker.
The most credible evidence is that our origins are from Scotland.My great grandfather was named James Sylvanus Fluker III.My father was also James Sylvanus Fluker.From the pictures I have seen, James Sylvanus Fluker III certainly looked Scottish.Black wavey hair, strong chin.
The family was in Georgia, migrated to Louisiana, to Houston, TX then to Dallas, Texas and then to Kansas City, MO.
That is all I really know about the family.
