In your entry in re Richard D. Flurry of June of last year you wrote about the family of one Henly Flurry.I was struck by the coincidence of names you listed with those of a family I have had very little success in tracing. I tried to Email you but apparently the address is discontinued. If you see this would youcomment on the following?
In your list of the children of Henly and Elizabeth Flurry is the Betsie who m. an Evans and lived in Mississippi by any chance the Elizabeth Flurry who married Reason Evans in Harris Co. GA on 15 August 1834 before Justice of the Peace Hopson Milner? Her children as I have them listed were: Chloe b. in 1836 (could she be the Clary Ann of your list?) Augustus Bryant (known as Gus) b. 3 March 1839 d. 19 July 1922 Alex R. b. 1842 Francis b. 1844 William Reason (known as Will) b. 1845 Sarah (your Sallie?) b. 1846 Nancy Anne b. 1847 Joseph Jefferson (possibly the Joe of your list?) b. 28 Feb 1852 d. 31 July 1928
I don't have a record of an Elizabeth and I have never heard of Suntown. They lived in Carroll Co., MS, where Elizabeth the mother of the above children died before 1878.
Other marriages performed by JP Hopson Milner included that of Nancy Flurry who married Isaac Milner on 10 Sept. 1836, Joseph Flury who m. Elizabeth Meadows on 12 Oct 1839, another Joseph, or possibly the same one?, who m. Eliza Pollards on 30 July 1853.
My husband's father sometime after the second World War introduced a Will Milner as his "own cousin".He did not explain what he meant by an own cousin.I notice that the Nancy Flurry you listed had a son named Will reared in Mississippi who would have been a Milliner? Some records have spelled the name of Rhoda Milner, Reason Evans' mother, as Miliner or Milliner.
