As you know, we have three individuals who claim to descend from John Fobes/Forbes. Each of you turned up with different results. You three did not have a genetic match. Now, I have no way to determine the validity of their paper trail research. And we don't really know what genetic code Mr. John Fobes/Forbes exhibited. We will determine that information with a couple of verified descendants. I think that will be evident when two or more individuals have a genetic match and their research shows the ancestral connection.
I attribute our problem to one of two things: false paternity, that is someone other than the acknowlegded father was really the father, or someone's paper trail research is in error.
I've read that the FOBES name has it's origins in Holland. Evidently, Mr. John Fobes/Forbes went to Holland and the Dutch have a hard time pronouncing the R's, hence the name was spelled the way it sounded.
