Thanks for the reply.I've corresponded with Blaine a couple of times. He doesn't thik my Jacob is the son of Christian & Barbara. My reasoning that he may be is as follows:
I have Jacob's birth as 1798, the 1850 census has him as 52 yr. (1798), The 1870 census has him as 65 (1805)not unusual to have a slight this tkind of difference in census records of a persons age.
Christian & Barbara's son, Jacob was born about 1805, according to the guardianship papers of John Hiser.
John & Barbara married 1809 in Montgomery Co., OH.
John & Barbara has son John Jr. 1811 in OH.
Conrad Overleese family lived in Montgomery Co., OH about 1910. Conrad died in Rush Co., IN in 1834. His son, Daniel married Anna m. HISER. His dau. Mary ,married Geo. Foglesong, Jr.(cousin or brother of my Jacob?)
1823 Jacob married Nancy Simmons in Rush Co., IN.
5/1825 John & Eliz. Simmons sold property to Jacob & Nancy in Rush Co. (Nancy's parents)
12/1825John & Barbara Hiser of Montgomery Co., IN sold to Jacob & Nancy.(I think the IN was an error from the person that copied this info to me and it was probably OH.)
1927 Jacob sold Rush co. property and eventually moved to Hancock Co.
Jacob & Nancy named their first dau. Barbara
Geo. Foglesong, Jr. (Mary Overleese) was son of Geo. Sr. & Mary UNK. had brother Jacob in my records, but no other info for that Jacob. I entered this George as the son of Christian & Barbara.Maybe I'm wrong on that.
Blaine says John Hiser died in Montgomery Co., OH.Why would he have property in IN?
Lots of coincidences.Just have to keep looking.
