Well, I posted that message some time ago, since then I have found out a lot of information. The Foolks family left Israel in 1045 under the name ben Yevet. In 1047, they where living in Libya and where very active in the Jewish Community. I went to Libya and met the ben Yevets there, they where very brown so I had a DNA test to check. The test came up positive we where related. In 1050 the Yevets went to Muslim Spain and where active there also. In 1066, a branch went to French and served William the Conquer, when he took over England the Foolks family helped him as tax collectors and accountants. As a reward they where given an estate (but not title, because they where Jews) in the town of Norfolk, that’s when they changed there name. In the 1300s the Foolks where expelled with all the other Jews in England. They went to Poland and served as court accountants. They where later kicked out and went to Germany and changed the name to Völks. The much is known tell 1750 when they start the Foolks Bank. They run the bank tell 1938 and the bank becomes very powerful in world finance. In 1938 a stepson of a Foolks who was not Jewish, took over the Bank with the Nazi and help Hitler with the money. Most of the Foolks that did not leave Germany where killed in the holocaust. Where is your relative from?
