I have no direct Fonda relatives. I am the coordinator of a family history for an associated family, the Nellis family of the Mohawk Valley (Montgomery and Fulton Co., NY buried in Albany Rural Cem.).There were several Fonda-Nellis connections and this one is fairly important to clearing up the details of the where-abouts of some of Cornelius's grandchildren, surname Nellis, the children of Stewart Nellis. Stewart was married twice, first to Sarah J. Van Der Visscher and second to Ida Fonda (1857-1894), the daughter of Cornelius Fonda and Sarah Ann Gunsolus (?spelling). The story is that Stewart had at least 5 sons, all young when all three parents (Stewart, Sarah, and Ida) died, and that some of the sons were sent to the Fonda family in Kansas or Nebraska, but as stories go, it might have been Michigan or another location. The families of these orphans have been unable to fill holes and verify family stories in their family history.
BTW I would also like to track down one Lois Fonda Nellis who was of Dayton, OH and Geneva, NY and who, at one time, was an atomic energy industrial contracts officer at the University of Saskatchewan as referenced in the 16th edition of the American Men and Women of Science. I do not know if she was married.I have no dates for her or the publication of the 16th edition.
