Good Morning Emily,
Elizabeth Fontenot, d/o Jean Fontenot dit Cadet, was born Abt. 1757 in Alabama.
Elizabeth m. February 7, 1774, St. John the Baptist Parish, Edgard, LA, (#1) David Marx.
David, the son of Balthazar Marx, was born January 17, 1755 in St. Charles Parish on the German Coast of Louisiana and died sometime before Elizabeth m. July 27, 1778, in St. James Catholic Church (#2) Jean Baptiste Godin aka Gaudin. Jean Baptiste was the widr. of Magdelaine Melanzon.
I found one Jean Baptiste Gaudin who died April 26, 1811, bur. St. Michel of Convent in the Diocese of Baton Rouge Catholic Church Records. I have no proof that he is the same Jean Baptiste Gaudin who m. Elizabeth Fontenot, d/o Jean Fontenot dit Cadet. According to his death record, this J. Bte. could have been age 40 years or age 80 years!
At any rate, if he is the same Jean Baptiste Gaudin who marred Elizabeth Fontenot, then it is unlikely she is the Elizabeth Fontenot who married Pierre Paul Arceneaux about 1788.
Elizabeth Fontenot, age about 80 yrs., wid. Hyppolite Arceneaux, bur. 19 Nov. 1885 (SMI-3, 118) Diocese of Baton Rouge Catholic Church Records, V. 3. p. 29
Pierre Paul Arceneaux, age about 40 years, husband of Elizabeth Fonteneau (s/o Jean & Judith Bergeron) bur. 11 Sept. 1804 (SJA--4, 24) BRDA, V. 3, p. 29

Clarice - no birth record found - m. 18 Feb. 1811 Joseph Mire. Marriage record confirms her parents.
Reine (bt. Renne) b. January 29, 1792, Diocese of Baton Rouge Catholic Church Records. Reine m. #1 Bonadventure Gaudin, Jr., August 11, 1806; Bonadventure died August 19, 1814, in Diocese of Baton Rouge Church Records.
Reine m. #2 Joseph Poirier June 2, 1816, Diocese of Baton Rouge Catholic Church Records. In this marriage record, Reine names her parents as Hippolitt and Elizabeth Fontenot!
