I believe one branch of my wife's ancestors is related.Based on information from a relative of my wife, a Minnie Ella Fonville (b. 11/27/1887 Joshua, TX, d. 11/20/1954 Dallas, TX) married a Louis Ealy Berry on 12/1/1878.
Minnie Ella was the daughter of Louis Oliver Fonville (b. 5/11/1832 Orange Co., NC, d. 1/30/1914 Wichita Falls, TX) and Lucinda Adeline Coulson (b. 4/11/1838, Morgantown, Rhea, TN, d. 9/10/1894 Archer, TX).
Louis Oliver Fonville was the son of Col. Wm. Washington Fonvielle (b. 1793, d. 1840) and Rachel Blanchard (b. 1801, d. 1881).
Wm. Washington was the son of Rev. Frederick Fonville (b. 1770, d.1835) and Rebecca Oliver (d. 1793).
Rev. Frederick Fonville was the son of Frederick Hatch Fonvielle (b. 1740, New Bern Craven, NC, d. 1785) and Mary (?).
Then from an ancestral file found on familysearch.org submitted by Robert Neff, I found Frederick Hatch Fonville was son of John Fonville (b 1696, France, d. 1773 New Bern, NC) and Elizabeth Brice (b. ca 1710, New Bern, NC) who were married in 1733.
John Fonville was son of John Fonvielle (b. 1667, France, d. 1741, NC) and Anne Graves (b. bef 1674, France) who were married 1695.
This is the connection to you.I don't have confirmation on this lineage, just an ancestral file and the Ancestor Chart from one of my wife's relatives. If indeed this lineage is correct, I can fill in some holes for you, and I'm sure you can for me since you have been researching this for some time. Please reply on here, or e-mail me.
