Wow...wow!! I can't believe the extensive information you provided on the Faubion/Forby line. THANK YOU!! I noticed there is a Penrod listed in the family and had to laugh out loud because a distant relative (Betty Casiday has several messages on GenForum) has been pursuing the Penrod/Lipe line exhaustively and she indicated that the McCormick/Forby family was "mixed up." Your information confirms that the Forby's/King's/Penrod's, etc. definitely married within families. Hence:
George Washington McCormick (widower) m. Easter "Esther" Lipe b. 2/27/1859 (her first marriage was to Will Penrod, b. 9/12/1853, d. 2/18/1887, 2nd m. Geo.Wash. McC.). The first marriage between Willis Penrod and Easter Lipe produced a daughter Lora Effie Nell Penrod b. 11/8/1878, d. 2/1/1955. Geo. Wash. McC. and Easter had two children, Albert and Cora. Easter's daughter, Lora Effie Nell Penrod married James Lafayette McCormick b. 2/26/1874, d. 4/5/1956. James Lafayette McCormick is the brother to George Washington McCormick. Lora Effie and James L. had my grandfather, Amos Albert McCormick b. 10/11/1897, d. 11/26/1971. Amos Albert married my grandmother Clara Forby (daughter of George Forby and Dora King). Amos' siblings were Clola, Orvel, Ruth, Esther, and Jean (many buried in Manila AR). Amos Albert and Clara Forby had four children: Harold, George William "Bill", Mary and Bea. My dad is George named after George Forby. Boy, will he be surprised when I visit and share the news you provided.
I believe George Penrod was Willis Penrod's father. Easter Lipe's parents were Edmond Lipe and Eliza Holder.
Thank you again for sharing. Still laughing in Battle Creek, MI! :)
