i made a mistake. i didn't realize you were talking about an ancestor...i interpreted your message in reference to a recently living member of the family. i am afraid i don't know anything about a mary mcdonald from the 1800's, only mary mcdonald hill from the 1930's and on. she was the daughter of dr. francis mcdonald, maybe a cousin of your grandfather's? she had 3 brothers, all still living, Joe McDonald competes in the senior olympics in speed skating and is in his earlyeighties. he competes against those younger than him and takes home the gold every year. he is married to Bonnie, and they had 9 children together. their children and families are scattered around the country. jim mcdonald is a former president of General Motors. he had 4 children, one is deceased. he and his wife, betty, divide time between bloomfield hills, MI and vero beach, FL. tom mcdonald, the youngest, younger than mary catherine, lives in saginaw, MI and owns the mcdonald car dealerships and runs the fordney family nursery and is still a prominent figure in the community. i apologize for being unable to help with your original question. i thought i would tell you a little about my side of the mcdonald family.
