I can't help much but I am researching this line it's my husbands side of the family and have a little info for you... Lydia C. Fordyce born abt. 1857 probably in Warren County, Ohio.
Her parents: Jacob Fordyce born about 1811 in Ohio and probably died in Union Township, Huntington County, Indiana. Jacob's wife Lydia Ann (???)I don't have proof of maiden name yet was born abt 1813 in New Jersey.
Jacob and Lydia's children according to census records:
John M.b. abt. 1839 Ohio Abbie Janeb. abt. 1845 ohio Charles Hubbardb. June 1847 Ohio Mary Annb. abt. 1850 Ohio Phebe Ellenb. abt. 1853 Ohio Lydia Carolineb. abt. 1857 Ohio
In the 1860 census there's a woman named Sarah M. Fordyce who is at Jacob and Lydia's house and was listed before John M. Fodyce. Because Sarah was 33 years old I wasn't certain if she was a child of Jacob and Lydia's because they would have been around 16 and 14 years old when Sarah was born. The Following is all the census records I have found Jacob and Lydia on so far:
1860 Jacob Fordice Washington Twp., Warren Co., OhioPg.288
1870 Jacob Fordice Union Twp., Huntington Co., Indiana pg.217B
1880 Jacob Fordyce Union, Huntington Co., INpg.560A
I can't find Jacob or his wife Lydia anywhere after the 1880 census so at this point I assumed they had both passed away before 1900. I am expecting something in the mail from Huntington Library and hopefully it will have more information for Jacob and Lydia Fordyce. Almost forgot I have looked in the 1850 census for Jacob and Lydia in Washington Twp., Warren Co., Ohio but I didn't find them so when I get the time I will have to search the rest of Warren County, Ohio to see if I can find them. I hope this helps you....Good Luck
