Eleanor F. Gray of Brownsburg died Oct. 3 at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. She was 87.
Born Feb. 7, 1917, in Avon, she was a daughter of the late Edgar Foudray Jr. and Louise McClelland. She was the widow of Otis James Gray.
Mrs. Gray was a graduate of Central Indiana Business College. She worked for Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance Co. She then worked 17 years as secretary and treasurer for Brownsburg Community Schools before retiring in 1979.
She was a charter member of Cornerstone Christian Church and a charter member of the Gamma Nu Chapter of Psi Iota Xi Sorority.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Lucy and David Blanford of Indianapolis and Cecily and Richard Hoffman of Brownsburg; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Suzan Gray of Brownsburg; a sister, Virginia Cummings of Indianapolis; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were a son, Douglas Gray; a brother, Edgar Foudray III; and a great-granddaughter, Brittney Blanford.
Services were Oct. 6 at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg with Tim Hughes and Larry Bellville officiating. Interment was at Brownsburg Cemetery.
